in that there is sky there must also be wings, in her new chapbook THE COSTUME OF A HUNTER Kate Lindroos investigates what language is and does to us and for us, its logic, its images, the sounds it makes, so that, when one lets one's brain take upon itself to think how these poems think,  it isn't too far-fetched to say in that there is existence there must also be Kate Lindroos telling us how that feels in poems.  The book's epigraph ends with a sentence from Barry Lopez, "The land is like poetry: it is inexplicably coherent, it is transcendent in its meaning, and it has the power to elevate a consideration of human life."
