John Emil Vincent, poet, archivist, and critic living in Montreal, is the author of Queer Lyrics: Difficulty and Closure in American Poetry (Palgrave 2002) and John Ashbery and You (Univeristy of Georgia 2007). He edited After Spicer, a book of essays on Jack Spicer (Wesleyan 2011), and has served as Editor-at-large for the Massachusetts Review.  Part of his project on poetic visuals will be published in Raritan early next year. He's taught literary studies and creative writing at University of Miami, Wesleyan, Haverford, and Concordia.
